Born in Honolulu in October of 1952. He grew up in Wahiawa where he graduated from Leilehua High School in 1970. After graduation Frank enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was trained as an operating room technician. Upon his return to Oahu, he started his college experience. During that time, his love for all things Hawaiian blossomed after he took a tour of the island. This tour led to Frank’s own tour driving career where he met his wife to be. While entertaining visiting tourists he also worked at various hospitals on the island awaiting a full-time position at Wahiawa General Hospital. Frank was able to utilize his many talents during his time at both careers, sharing his interests with those around him.
Serving his community became a passion as well. He was active with the Wahiawa Lion’s Club and the Rainbow Senior Club. If you could not find him at one of their activities he was bowling or playing poker!
Frank is survived by his wife Peggy, his sister Sarahjane Hamilton, his hanai children Jeremy and Jessica DeMink and Roy and Bridget Hannu; his three hanai grandchildren Siena, Dylan, and William. His nieces and nephews: Cecily, Dierdre, Lucy, Loretta, Chrissy, Carrie, Mackie, Jobie, Darrell , Kenny, Jenny and all their children. He was preceded in death by his parents (Frank & Judith Pavao) and three of his sisters Georgianna, Bridget and Kathleen..
