Celebration of Life
Per Buddy's wishes, no formal funeral services are planned. His committal service is scheduled for August 12, 2026 at 11:30am at Punchbowl National Cemetery; in the area of Columbarium 13, which is on the righthand side just inside the entrance. All are welcome to attend. Following we will gather for a 12:30-3:00pm casual luncheon at Harris United Methodist Church. Please join our 'ohana as we share Memories, Mo'olelo and Aloha. IMUA!

Harry "Buddy" Luke Wong Jr., 90, of Honolulu, Hawai‘i, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 23, 2026.
Buddy was a proud 1953 graduate of the Kamehameha School for Boys, a United States Marine Corp Sergeant who spent four years stationed in California and a retired splicing supervisor with Hawaiian Telephone Company aka Hawaiian Telcom, Inc. He had a lifelong passion for photography, Hawaiiana and Hawaiian music. "Uncle Buddy" loved nothing more than watching out for his immediate and extended 'ohana. He was predeceased by his father, Harry Sr., mother, Mary “Girlie” Komomua, stepfather, Preston Komomua, and sisters, Melvamay Ho and Winona "Nona" Greer and is survived by his loving wife Patricia, son Harry, III (Katherine), daughter Keikilani, granddaughter Dylan, sisters Marjorie "Mamo" Asagi and Jamylani Hagen and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Over the past 15+ years, "Uncle Buddy" touched the lives of countless students, families and alumni as he, teamed with "Auntie Pat" and daughter Keikilani, selflessly volunteering their time and energy managing and staffing the Kamehameha Schools Kekuhaupi'o Gym Concession Stand every day after school for the students as well as during sporting events. He was avid supporter of Kamehameha Schools sports, especially the Girls Volleyball Program, and was iconic for his "IMUA WARRIORS!" cheer before every first serve and after time outs. His outgoing and magnetic personality will be missed on campus and by all he touched over his many years of dedication to the Kamehameha Schools community.
