Celebration of Life

James Brian Ewens, 62, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Born on March 9, 1963, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Jim lived a life of dedication and service to his country, his career, and his passions.

In 1984, Jim enlisted in the United States Navy, embarking on a distinguished
24-year military career. He served aboard the USS California in San Diego and Guam and later on the USS Chosin at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. NCTAMS PAC, Wahiawa, HI; COMEXSTRIKGRU 7, Okinawa, Japan. Jim graduated from University of Phoenix, BS in Business.

Throughout his service, he earned numerous awards and commendation medals for his commitment and excellence. Including NMC Commendation Medal, NMC Achievement Medal. After retiring from the Navy, Jim continued to contribute his expertise by working with Lockheed Martin and NCTAMS PAC N5 in Wahiawa, Hawaii.

Jim was a man of many interests who found joy in fishing, golfing, playing fantasy football with friends at the USCG Hideaway Club, and cheering for his beloved Green Bay Packers. His enthusiasm for life extended to the relationships he built with those around him.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Marilou Parinasan-Ewens and loyal Golden Retriever Storm. Also stepmother Vicki Ewens; sisters Kathy Streeter (husband Dave), Lisa Thompson (husband George), Maureen (fiancé Steve), Julie Cicero, and Carol Stepanski; as well as brothers Mike and Joseph (wife Karen). And God children Christian Cicero and Kelly Ewens as well as numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father John Marsh Ewens and mother Mary Lucille Ewens.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on March 9, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 12:30
PM at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific - Punchbowl 2177 Puowaina Dr.
