10/19/1976 - 01/12/2026

Celebration of Life

With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Kenya Kealohapau’ole Rogers, who left this world on January 12, 2026, to be with our Lord, Abba, at the young age of 49.
Kenya was a cherished and beloved son, father, grandfather, granduncle, family member, church member, and dear friend to many. He touched countless lives in both big and small ways, and his presence will be forever missed by all who knew him.

Above all, Kenya loved his family. His bond with his parents was meaningful and enduring, and that love remains unbroken. Though his life was cut far too short, the love he gave and received will continue to live on.

We take comfort in our faith, knowing that Kenya is now in God’s care, surrounded by peace, mercy, and eternal love. We trust in God’s promise that nothing can separate us from His love, and that one day we will be reunited. Our souls coming down with Jesus, meeting up with our bodies, new body, new heaven and new earth.

Kenya loved the ocean. Some of his happiest times were spent working on his grandfather’s catamaran, Mahana Nai’a where he earned his Captain’s License and was able to free dive 60 ft. to hook up the lines and secure the boat at Molokini island. He was a people person and delighted in entertaining visitors from around the world. As a young boy, he enjoyed playing chess and later developed the ability to speak several languages. He had a deep love for history and learning about different countries and cultures. Kenya was truly gifted in linguistics and knowledge.

Kenya is survived by his parents, Lana (Lynell) and Lou Rogers; his son, Isaiah Kealohapau’ole Rogers; his grandson, La’akea Kealohapau’ole Boston Rogers; his granddaughter, Noelle Willow; his siblings, twin sisters Randa U’ilani Rogers and Rhodesia Maile Rogers; twelve nieces and nephews; two grand-nieces Nakati, & Eliana, a grand-nephew, Ayende; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless loving friends—especially within the Ewa Beach community where he grew up.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 16, 2026, at Leeward Community Church (LCC), where Kenya worshipped.
