Leroy Kalani Purdy

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our dear father, Leroy Kalani Purdy, who was born in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, on May 17, 1948, and passed away on September 8, 2026.

Leroy was deeply loved by his family and will be remembered for the love, laughter, memories, and meaningful moments he shared with those closest to him. His presence touched many lives, and his memory will continue to live on through his family and the generations that follow.

Leroy is survived by his 12 children, 1 Hānai daughter, 23 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as his two siblings, Sarah “Pinky” Ohelo and Manase “Lani” Purdy. He will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family and all those who carry him in their hearts.

Though our hearts are heavy with his loss, we find comfort in knowing that the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with us. His legacy continues through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone whose life he touched.
