As Hawaiʻi’s premier at-need provider, Aloha Mortuary--only native Hawaiian owned and locally operated licensed mortuary on O'ahu--is here when you need us most. Families choose us for the dignified care we give their loved ones, the compassionate guidance we offer, and our affordable, transparent, all-inclusive pricing.
Whether a loss is expected or comes without warning, you can turn to us for comfort and support. Call (808) 470-3445 to speak with our caring staff, available 24/7.

At Aloha Mortuary, we provide personalized, transparently priced end-of-life care grounded in values and deep respect for every family’s unique traditions. Our family is here to guide you with warmth, integrity, and unconditional care.
We offer gentle, respectful cremation options tailored to your family's personal, spiritual, and financial needs. From direct cremation—providing a simple, timely, affordable option without formal viewings—to traditional cremation ceremonies with public viewings prior to the cremation process, our staff handles every detail with complete dignity and care.
As advocates of eco-friendly funeral care in Hawaiʻi, we are looking forward to offering water cremation (alkaline hydrolysis). In Native Hawaiian culture, a person's spiritual essence or mana resides within their iwi (bones).
Our burial care spans full traditional in-ground services, graveside committals, and immediate burials. We walk alongside your ʻohana to coordinate every aspect of final interment, ensuring your loved one is laid to rest with deep respect, whether in a cemetery plot, columbarium niche, or mausoleum crypt.
For families whose wishes or ancestral ties take them beyond local shores, we coordinate seamless destination burials. We handle all legal permits, preparation, and transit coordination so your loved one reaches their final resting place safely and with uncompromised care.
When loss happens away from home or final disposition requires travel across state or international borders, our team manages complex logistics to lift the burden from your shoulders. We provide professional forwarding and receiving services for both mortal remains and cremains, maintaining rigorous standards of custody and respectful care throughout transit.
For receiving remains (ship-ins), we coordinate airport transport, temporary shelter, and local service preparation upon arrival.
For forwarding remains or shipping cremated remains via official carrier requirements, we manage all required legal documentation, consular clearances, and specialized packaging to ensure smooth and dignified transfers.
Every life tells a distinct story, and every family deserves the space to honor that legacy in their own meaningful way. We design custom celebrations of life and memorial gatherings held in chapels, churches, or scenic outdoor locations, providing complete administrative, venue, and staffing support.
Whether arranged alongside an urn presentation, framed portrait tributes, or personalized family keepsakes, our memorial gatherings focus on healing, connection, and honoring shared memories in a peaceful, welcoming environment.
As a Native Hawaiian-owned mortuary, cultural respect is woven into everything we do. We collaborate closely with respected local cultural practitioners (kumu) and community leaders to continuously refine authentic, multi-ethnic end-of-life rituals.
We honor the rich diversity of Hawaiʻi's families by weaving traditional practices, pule (prayers), and custom protocols into every ceremony. Rather than assuming shared traditions, we ask thoughtful questions to ensure your family's exact heritage and wishes are honored with dignity.
We hold deep reverence for those who have served in our nation's armed forces. Our team takes care of all administrative details required to secure deserved military honors, flag presentations, committal services, and burial placement in national or state veterans cemeteries.
From coordinating color guards and Taps detail to securing official discharge papers (DD-214) and military benefit applications, we ensure our veterans receive a dignified farewell that reflects their selfless service and devotion.
We believe that true family care requires absolute transparency, honesty, and trust. Navigating end-of-life arrangements should never come with hidden surprises or financial anxiety.
Our General Price List (GPL) is designed to be simple, clear, and fully accessible, ensuring you have complete visibility into all options and costs.
Whether you choose cremation, traditional burial, or custom cultural services, we stand committed to helping you make informed decisions that respect both your wishes and your budget.

To help ease your mind, we have shared what you can expect in the coming days, along with a simple timeline to assist you with next steps. Timeline & What To Expect
1
Within Hours
This initial step is often the most emotional and overwhelming part of the journey. Please know that you do not have to carry it alone—reach out to us at any moment for support, guidance, or simply a comforting voice.
If your loved one passes away in a healthcare facility, the medical staff will notify the appropriate authorities and contact our team to begin surrounding your family with care. If their passing occurs at home or outside a care facility, please contact emergency personnel first so they can fulfill necessary protocols before we bring your loved one gently into our custody.
If they were under the active care of a primary physician, notifying their office is also a helpful next step. Throughout this time, we will walk alongside you to coordinate a thoughtful, peaceful collection and ensure your family feels supported every step of the way.
2
In 1-5 Days
When you feel ready, take time to share the news with close friends, family, and loved ones who can offer their comfort and support. If your loved one shared any special wishes or preferences for their farewell, gathering those notes will help guide us as we begin shaping a service that truly reflects their heart and legacy.
Please remember that you do not have to carry these details alone. We encourage you to lean on a trusted relative or friend to walk beside you, and our family is always here to listen, answer your questions, and gently walk you through every option at your own pace.
3
First Call Meeting
