Celebration of Life
Vernon Kauahimalama Ta'a, age 84, of Kapolei, Hawaii, passed away on May 28, 2026. He will be remembered with love and gratitude by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
Dad found joy in golf, local foods, serving the Lord, and, most of all, spending time with his family. His faith guided his life, including his service as a missionary in Western Samoa. He also served in the Marine Corps Reserve and retired after working with the Plumbers’ Union.
Vernon is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Sharyn Ta'a; his children, Noelani Ta'a Macatiag, Jared Ta'a, Leimomi Ta'a, and Travis Ta'a, and 34 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and the many loved ones whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Ta'a.
A memorial service honoring Vernon's life was held on June 22, 2026. His memory will continue to live on through the love of his family, the stories shared by those who knew him, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
“Thank you to Aloha Mortuary for making our transition with our dad easy, with so much care taken with my mom in the process. We are grateful for their professionalism and dedication to what they do for families. Mahalo to Aunty Aleni and Favour.”
