Celebration of Life
Marcus Mahealani Ishiki
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of an incredible man, Marcus Mahealani Ishiki, who left this world on February 14, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on January 17, 1966, Marcus was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth, kindness, and quiet strength to those around him.
Marcus was a true craftsman and perfectionist, mastering the art of fiberglass work before transitioning to painting heavy equipment—a job he took great pride in. No matter what he was working on, he poured his dedication and skill into every project, leaving behind work that spoke to his talent and commitment.
But beyond his work, Marcus’s greatest joy was his family. He was a man of quiet generosity, always willing to lend a hand. He found happiness in simple moments—spending time with loved ones, watching his grandchildren grow, and taking pride in their achievements. His granddaughter Angel held a particularly special place in his heart, bringing him endless joy.
Marcus is survived by his loving wife, EmmaReen W. Ferreira, and his children: Shyla (Brian) Ishiki, Shalina "Kako" (Colin) Saleet, and Angelina "Natsumi" Ishiki; his stepdaughters Alisha Cruz, Ahysha "Tata" Kauhi-Choy Foo, and Akamai Kauhi-Choy Foo. He is also deeply missed by his father, Pali (Bee) Ishiki; his siblings Trina (Kalani) Kumanu, Paula (James) Brede, and Matthew Ishiki; and many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed to know him.
Marcus had a way of showing love through actions rather than words, always working hard and looking out for his family. His legacy is one of dedication, kindness, and an unshakable love for those he held dear. Though he is no longer with us, the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
Until we meet again, we carry your love in our hearts.
