Ruby Ann Lani Au

Ruby Ann Lani Au born on February 28, 1941, a long time Laie resident returned to her Heavenly home on November 4, 2025. She was 84. She graduated Class of 1955 from Kahuku High School. Ruby earned a college degree from The Church College of Hawaii. After which she became a school teacher at Laie Elementary where she taught 5th grade for 46 years and retired in 2010. She was devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a member of the Laie 1st Ward. Ruby served as a temple worker in the Laie Hawaii LDS Temple for many years. She loved to garden, enjoyed reading and putting together puzzles in her free time. She was the last living child born to Thomas Ha’aheo Au and Elizabeth Rahab Kekauoha Au. Aunty Aka as she is commonly known is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Laie 1st Ward Chapel on December 13, 2025. Public viewing will begin at 9am followed by services at 11am. Burial to follow at The Laie Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Aloha Mortuary.
