Celebration of Life

In Loving Memory of William “Travis” Nua

January 8, 1975 – February 11, 2026

William Travis Nua, lovingly known as Travis, passed away on February 11, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaii, which had been his home for the past 10 years. He was 51 years old.
He is survived by his loving mother, Dal A. Nua; his sisters, Anissa L. Nua and Monika M. Cruzen; his brother-in-law, Patrick W. Cruzen; his nephews, Adam C. Nua and Connor P. Cruzen; and his niece, Addison M. Cruzen. He was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Siliaga  Nua.
Travis was loved by many and had a heart bigger than life itself. A gifted and talented Samoan fire dancer, he traveled all over the world performing a cherished cultural tradition that was passed down to him by his father. Through his performances, he honored his heritage and shared its beauty and strength with countless audiences.

He was also a dedicated and accomplished athlete. As a jujitsu fighter, Travis competed in many competitions around the world, demonstrating not only strength and discipline but also determination and heart.

For the past decade, Travis made his home in Honolulu, Hawaii — a place he truly loved. He embraced the island’s culture, its welcoming community, and especially its peaceful beaches. He found joy and serenity in the ocean and appreciated the hardworking, kindhearted people who lived and worked there. Hawaii was more than just his home; it was where his spirit felt most at peace.
Travis truly beat to his own drum and carved his own path in life. He was fiercely loyal, and family always came first. His love for his friends and family was unwavering, and he will be remembered for his generous spirit, his strength, and the joy he brought to those around him. He was loved dearly and will be forever missed by all who knew him.

As Scripture reminds us:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
— 2 Timothy 4:7

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Details will follow.
In lieu of flowers, prayers and thoughtful cards are appreciated by his family in Washington.
