Celebration of Life

Lino Loloa Kakiva 63 of American Samoa, the Village of Lauli'i died on December 27, 2025 in his home of Whitmore Village, Wahiawa. Surrounded by all 11 children, 22 grandchildren, younger brother Johnny and sister in-law Tui and 2 fur babies.

Lino, Son of the late Loloa Kakiva and Punipuao Seumanu-Vili Posala, loving husband to Saiolo Venus Kakiva.

Lino in the mid 80's worked for Richard Lee Construction after leaving Palama Meat company. Following RHS Lee, Lino worked at the Pearl Harbor Naval shipyard as a Sandblaster, then on to work on the Aku Boats, the Kula Kai. Then in July 1991, Lino began work at the Neal Blaisdell Center for Volume Services under the direction of Aunty Ella Gonzalez up until February 2009 following the last Pro Bowl at the Aloha Stadium at the time, by then the new company name was Center Plate. By July 2011, Lino worked as a Truck driver for D.Otani Produce with the assistance of Chef Richard Viernes. Lino enjoyed all his different employments, but his favorite was working as a truck driver, meeting new people and making new life time friends.

Lino was definitely an athlete! He played with his heart, every sport Lino learned, played and accelerated in, was done with the love for the sport. Samoan Cricket, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Boxing and Golf. Lino loved swimming as well. When he finds time from work, he'd play with his Sons and daughters. Lino loved playing with his grandchildren. Lino battled Heart condition, Kidney then diagnosed with Cancer.
