Ruta Peseti

Ruta (Big Mama) Peseti of Ewa Beach, Hawai’i who was born on September 11, 1955 in the beautiful Village of Vatia (Vacha) American, Samoa, has passed away, on December 28, 2025 at the glorious age of 70. She migrated to Hawai’i, on the island of Oahu, to give her family a life of love and happiness under the guidance and foundation of God our Heavenly Father.

She is survived by her husband Tuvale Peseti, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as follows;

Sisipeni Afuola, Mele Laponi, Eliota Afuola, Tise Afuola, Ruta Peiaisauoa Afuola, Ma’aele Peseti, Apelu Taufete’e AKA- House, Kelly Siutumoa Peseti, Tazarafina Peseti, Rowena Talagu Peseti, Hallerie Manisesa Peseti, Siniva Faleiva Faumuina

Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren:
Eric Peseti, Isaac Afuola, Tanielu Afuola, Asomaliu Afuola.
Ariel Laponi (Addie), Faitoto’aolealofa Laponi, Ariyanna Laponi, Ashely Kepano, Alena Laponi.
Lemisio Afuola(Kaylynn), Tao Afuola, Scotty-Clark Peseti, Simba Peseti, Miracle Peseti, Tyson Avega (Luca and Olena), Tafiaina Peseti-Avega, Toaspartan Peseti-Avega, Tazarafina Peseti-Avega, Samara Peseti, Siara Peseti-Scott, Sela Peseti- Vehikite, Fa’avaoa Peseti.

Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday February 28, 2026 at Nu’uanu Congregational Church located at 2651 Pali Hwy Honolulu, Hawai’i 96817 Viewing is at 8:30am and church service to follow at 10:00am. Burial will take place at Mililani Park and Mortuary at 2:30pm where she will be laid to rest next to her son and the oldest of 12, Sefululua “Braddah” Afuola. Fa’afetai Tele Lava and God Bless.
