Celebration of Life

Sharlin Kahaleleponi Soon passed away peacefully, surrounded by her ohana, on June 17, 2026. Born on April 9, 1956, she lived a life full of passion, healing, and aloha.

She sought out every opportunity God placed in her path. A true jack of all trades. She worked as a plumber, carpenter, bartender, nurse, reservationist, florist, baker, seamstress, and certified tax preparer. Among many other things, she was also a network marketer, a pioneer in holistic healing, a Reiki Master, and a Kumu Hula. Whatever needed to be done, she could likely do it; and if she couldn’t, she’d figure it out right alongside you and add it to her skill list. She loved helping and healing others, and her family was her world. She taught everyone around her to live with aloha, always.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Remigius; her siblings, Darlin and Jose; her daughters, LizMarie and her husband, James, Darlin and her husband, Kelvin, and Ofelia “Faye”; her grandchildren, Christiano, Rakayla, Kelvin Jr., James Jr., Takaiya, Kardel, Randy Jr., and Baby Darlin; her great-grandchildren, Jiovanni and Leilani; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, uncles, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth; her grandmother, Agnes; her in-laws, George and Frances; Eduardo and Maria; and many other beloved family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for contributions toward Mom’s Celebration of Life as we honor her final journey.

Sharlin was, at heart, island born and island raised. Her hands, her heart, and her spirit were shaped by God, the land and the people she loved. The family invites all who knew and loved her to celebrate a life lived fully, loved deeply, and shared generously. May we all carry forward her legacy of love, light, and aloha.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” Matthew 25:21
