Though she will be deeply missed, Tiare's love, laughter, unwavering faith, and generous heart will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.
Tiare Raelin Kauhi, 71, of Kāneʻohe, Oʻahu, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at Adventist Health Castle, surrounded by all six of her children.
Born in Honolulu on August 27, 1954, to Herman Iaela and Edna Ing, Tiare lived a life centered on faith, family, and friendship. A devoted Catholic, she remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life and embraced each day with joy, strength, and gratitude.
Tiare had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. She was the life of every gathering, and anyone fortunate enough to know her understood her warmth, generosity, and infectious spirit. After just one conversation, she had a way of making you feel like part of her family. She loved deeply, welcomed everyone with open arms, and cherished the friendships she built throughout her life. Social media became one of her favorite ways to stay connected with the many people she loved, whether they were near or far.
In her later years, Tiare found her greatest happiness in spending time with her family, creating lasting memories with her children and grandchildren, and caring for her beloved dogs.
She is lovingly survived by her sons, Hale Kauhi, Chadd Kauhi, Kaui Kauhi, and Ian Garcia, daughters, Raelin Babas, Tatiana Morris, and Davina Malama, her brothers, Chinnough Colburn, Thomas Kahikina Colburn Ching, her sisters, Angelique Colburn Ancheta, Louise Colburn Gusman, Billie Colburn Aweau, 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
