Services will be held at Wai’anae High School Dining Hall. Viewing at 9:30am, Service at 10:30 then burial at Mililani Memorial Park at 2:30pm.
Tuinanau “Tui” Ala of Wai’anae, O’ahu was born on December 10, 1952 in Nu’uuli, American Samoa as Siaki Lavata’i Jr. He later received his given name Tuinanau Ala by his grandparents. He took his heavenly journey surrounded by his family on October 15, 2024.
Tui attended school in American Samoa, Kalihi, and Wai’anae High School. He later received his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Well known in his lifetime as an athlete in football, wrestling, track and field, basketball and baseball - Tui was a four year Letterman at Wai’anae High School and an All-State individual and team champion.
Tui’s greatest lifetime achievement was receiving Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He spent 45 years loving God as a husband, father, and grandfather and serving as a deacon in the Lamb of God Church Makaha and 25 years as Head Deacon at Ark of Safety Christian Fellowship.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey, sons Tui (Charisse), Houston (Lindsey), and Brandon Ala. Grandsons Isaiah Tamatoa, Asher Tui, Akea and Kane Ala, granddaughters Shiloh and Sarai Ala.
Preceded in death by parents Vaima’a Busque, Tauaola and Timena Ala (grandparents), and his hanai parents Benjamin and Annie Solomon Sr.
Brothers: Roland and Steven Busque, Gregory, Ben Jr. (d), and Norman Solomon.
Sisters: Vaipapa Faavae, Maipo Taualo, Stephanie Busque (d), Healani Dela Cruz and Laverne Armitage. He is loved by many nieces and nephews.
