Wallace Keolalani Tirrell Age 91, of Kailua, Hawaii, passed away at Queens Medical Center on July 16, 2026. Wally was born to Violet and Joseph Tirrell, raised in Kalawahine, Oahu, and graduated from Kamehameha School for Boys in 1953. Thirty-five (35) years later, Wally received the honor of being awarded the Kamehameha Schools Distinguished Alumnus 1988. Shortly after graduating from KSK, Wally secured a job with Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate as an Engineers Aid, beginning a career that would span 42 years. He retired as the President of Kamehameha Investment Corporation. One of the highlights of his life was being a member of the Kamehameha Alumni Glee Club. They entertained at the Kahala Hilton, Royal Hawaiian Hotel and traveled to the New York and Japan World's fair.
Wally is survived by his son, Russell (Perri) Chang; his daughters, Loke (Kawika) Dane and Jewels (Kaipo) Alameida; his three (3) grandchildren, Dylan, Keali’i, and Lilia Raine; his one (1) great-grandchild; and his sisters Gladys Rodenhurst and Dede Awana. He was preceded in death by wife Priscilla Kuulei Tirrell, granddaughter Emma Kehaulani Chang, and Son-in-Law Kaipo Alameida.
